After the success of Sairat, no Marathi movie was able to spin magic at the Box Office. But Atul Jagdale directed Ganvesh seems an exception, which after favorable critics’ reviews and word of mouth is filling theatres to houseful. Ganvesh’s promotions were also concentrated on the school kids and their parents and parent-kids are watching Ganvesh in hugh numbers in the small cities.
Vijayate Entertainments produced and Eros International presented Ganvesh started spinning its magic on Box Office from day 1. On the first day 48 shows were houseful, 65 shows has 80% occupancy, whereas rest of the shows had more than 50% occupancy. This is a good sign for Ganvesh. Even after the monsoon’s arrival, this trend will continue.
Ganvesh has a strong star cast in Kishor Kadam, Smita Tambe, Mukta Barve, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Tanmay Mande, Nagesh Bhosale and Ganesh Yadav. Director Atul Jagdale said, “we were concerned as the monsoon has arrived in full swing, but the audience has shown good response to the movie. Critics reviews and right media promotions helped Ganesh get right audience.”
Ganvesh has released in 250 theatres with more than 450 shows daily. This is biggest release after Sairat. Word of mouth publicity will help Ganesh achieve good numbers at Box Office in first week.
