The film portrays the story of a shahir (a poet) who leaves all his ancestral riches, just to devote himself to the folk arts. He meets Chandra, the dancer who is equally inclined to make a name in the folk arts of Tamasha and these both art-lovers form a bond of love. Their whole journey is beautifully captured through the 8 songs in 'Chhand Priticha'.
The film has a romantic song 'Aal Aabhal Bharun' sung by Javed Ali & Ketaki Mategaonkar. Bela Shende her dynamic voice for 3 beautiful Lavani songs - "Nisti Darawar Tichki Maara', 'Waajo Pahate Che Paach', 'Satya Sangate'. Bela and Vaishali Samant has sung a Sawaal-Jawaab song and Adarsh Shinde has lend his voice for 'Kosalali Ti Vij' and 'Shahiri Lavani'.
