Amruta Khanvilkar, who was last seen in Marathi film Bus Stop will be starring in Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Hindi film Raazi produced by Karan Johar under their reputed banner of Dharma Productions. The actress took to her Twitter account today to share the news. "#newrole.. start of a #newjourney with some awesome people ... 1st day on the sets of #Raazi ... ganapati bappa moraya."
Amruta had earlier worked in many Hindi films including Mumbai Salsa, Hattrick, Phoonk and Phoonk 2. The team of the film has recently started shooting for the film in Mumbai which is based on Harinder Sikka's best-selling novel, Calling Sehmat. The film is based on a Kashmiri spy played by Alia Bhatt who gets married to a Pakistani army officer (Vicky Kaushal).
Amruta's role is prominent. She gave her first shot today in a studio in Mumbai. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar, produced under Karan Johar's banner and Junglee Pictures, the film is expected to release in 2018.
