We are brought up listening to the stories of fairies, kings, queens, princesses and monsters. What will happen if the Monster really awakens and threatens life of dear ones of a small girl. That's where the reality meets fantasy, a genre never tried before in Marathi film, Fantasy-Thriller. Raakshas is one such unique film. The trailer of Raakshas was launched yesterday in Mumbai.
The trailer was launched in the presence of cast, crew including director Dnyanesh Zoting, presenter Samit Kakkad, producers Vivek Kajaria & Nilesh Navalakha, co-producers Anand Bafna & Ravi Jangda, writer Tanmayee Deo, actors Sai Tamhankar, Sharad Kelkar, Rujuta Deshpande, Yakub Sayeed, Purnanand Wandekar, Umesh Jagtap, Anuya Kalaskar, Vitthal Kale, Jayesh Sanghavi and many technicians.
Raakshas is the debut film of director Dnyanesh Zoting and he has written this film with his experiences of childhood living in a adivasi village. He is being making short films for last 5 years and had got awards at different film festivals.

Samit Kakkad, the presenter of the film is a fine director himself of acclaimed films like Huppa Huyya, Ayana Ka Bayana and Half Ticket. Samit is very good friends with producers Vivek Kajaria and Nilesh Navalakha.
