Presented by Meena Shameem Films, produced and directed by Munavar Shamim Bhagat, ‘Nivdung’ showcases the hardships of the farmers in Maharashtra. ‘Nivdung’ film’s story is based on a tale set in a rural village. The film is set to release on 14 October all over Maharashtra.

Bollywood celebrities releasing music CD of a Marathi film is not new to Marathi film industry. In the past, many Bollywood personalities like Subhash Ghai, Rishi Kapoor, Jitendra, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi and others have attended such functions with their presence as chief guests. Now, it was the turn of Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar and his mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia coming together, to release the music of upcoming Marathi film ‘Kaul Manacha’.

By eating lots of Diwali snacks everyone gain weight (Marathi word Vazandar) and then starts the race to lose that weight. Glamorous actresses Sai Tamhakar and Priya Bapat are seen in the same Vazandar avatar on the recently launched first look chocolate filled poster of the film. The Title of the poster reads "Those who are not thin, are fat only"  "ज्या बारिक नसतात, त्या जाडच असतात"

Marathi film Halal has made a mark in Marathi Film Industry, as the movie has been praised and awarded at many state level film festivals before the release of the film. The protagonist of Halal, actress Pritam Kagne was also nominated for Sahyadri Cine Awards 2016 in the category of The Best Actress for her exceptional performance. Along with her astonishing performance in Halal, this newbie will also be seen in Hindi movie 31st October along with Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan. The movie is based on a true story, focuses on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi's assassination which occurred on 31 October 1984.

It rained, roads were muddy, this is all what we get to hear but have we ever heard anyone enjoying the mud? No or we can say that the ‘so called’ sophisticated people can’t handle it because; instead of enjoying the mud we always feel bliss in criticizing the rains. But the recently held “Mud Rush 2016” witnessed such people enjoying and indulging in this muddy experience. Marathi Film Doctor Rakhmabai’s team was also present during the event. Mud Rush 2016 was held in Goregoan Filmcity and the run was flagged off by Tannishtha Chatterjee who essays the role of Doctor Rakhmabai. Also present were the movie’s producer Dr. Swapna Patkar, Director Ananth Mahadevan and Tannishtha’s co-actor in the movie Santosh Juvekar.

Diksha Yuvraj Surwade has produced a Marathi film ‘Prem Sankat’ under the banner Reha Film Productions which introduces five newcomers. Raj Surwade, Monalisa Bagal, Rahul Bhise, Ankita Parmar, Yamini Dolas are debuting with Prem Sankat and stalwarts like Nishigandha Wad, Satish a Pulekar, Latika Gore, Yatin Karyekar, Rajendra Shisatkar lend required experienced support.
