TTMM Tujha Tu Majha Mi shows the real picture of today's young generation, the dilemma between freedom and marriage. Though it is a regular story of 'boy meets girl'; their dilemma of TTMM, to marry or not to marry plays an important role in shaping the core of the film. Debut writer Tejpal Wagh and director Kuldip Jadhav's handling of the story /screenplay makes it refreshing as well as convincing to watch.
Jay (Lalit Prabhakar) and Rajashri (Neha Mahajan) are 2 headstrong boy & girl, who want to live their life on their own terms. Their parents want them to marry and settle down in life, but they want to enjoy life. Jay wants to explore the world and visit different places. He enjoys the company of nature and feels that marriage will somehow curtail his passions. On the other hand, Rajashri is not against marriage, but want a suitable partner who will fulfill her dreams.
Both run away from their home and the idea of marriage. They meet on a bus on their way to Goa. They get introduced to eah other on a sour note with a fight, but once they are thrown out of the bus, become friends. Their journey to Goa also has some twists & turns. Rest of the story shows their confusion about marriage and how the parents' maturity helps them takes right decisions. Especially the scenes between Jay & his father and Rajashri & her father are the highlights of the film.
Story of TTMM is very believable and relatable. It's non-linear treatment of screenplay make the audience curious about the happenings. The editing and camerawork is sharp. The song 'Sajiri Gojiri' keep lingering on your lips even after you leave the theatre. 'Kshan Mohare' has a heart about exploring yourself like never before.
The film has it's flaws too as in the second half it gets a tad slow. But it again picks up the pace and last 20-25 mins gives you satisfactory answers. Lalit and Neha have shown good maturity in the intense and emotional scenes. The senior cast members Satish Pulekar, Vidyadhar Joshi, Savita Prabhune and Seema Deshmukh have acted their parts well. Pushkar Lonarkar (This kid has great acting sense), Saagar Karande and Bharat Ganeshpure provide much needed comic relief.
Debut director Kuldip Jadhav has handled the regular story very well. TTMM is a good effort by the young team of writer-director-producer. All in all, TTMM - Tujha Tu Majha Mi is a must watch with family for the believable story, refreshing situations and relatable characters.
