Director Chandrakant Kulkarni and writer Mahesh Elkunchwar’s Marathi Play ‘Wada Chirebandi’ (वाडा चिरेबंदी) received much appreciation and acclaim from the audience. Chandrakant Kulkarni started the sequel of this famous play, titled ‘Magna Talyakathi’ (मग्न तळ्याकाठी) from 14 May 2016. Now Marathi theatre lovers in Thane have a golden opportunity to watch both these plays on the same day back-to-back.
Recently on 12 June the same experiment of back-to-back shows was successful at Pune, so the makers decided to stage the 2 plays on same day in Thane as well. This will happen only for 2nd time that the Wada Chirebandi Part 1 and Part 2 will be staged on the same day.
Wada Chirebandi has a strong cast of Vaibhav Mangale, Nivedita Joshi-Saraf, Neha Joshi, Prasad Oak etc. Magna Talyakathi adds Shiddhath Chandekar, Rajashri Thakur and Chinmay Mandlekar to play important roles. Magna Talyakathi is presented by Jigisha and Ashtavinayak and produced by Dilip Jadhav and Shripad Padmakar. Set design is done by acclaimed Pradeep Mulaye and Music is composed by Anand Modak and Rahul Ranade.
You can watch both the plays at Gadkari Rangayatan, Thane on 16 July 2016. Wada Chirebandi will be staged at 4:30 pm and Magna Talyakathi will be staged at 8:30 pm.
